A 330ml bottle with a BB of March 2018. Acquired a while back from a webshop. Described on the label as a dry-hopped pale ale with a fruity character.
A: Poured into a tulip. Bottle conditioned. A deep amber colour with fine suspended sediment and moderate carbonation. Produces a large head of creamy white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding to a patchy surface layer.
S: Aroma of sharp fruity hops with hints of passionfruit, mango, pineapple, citrus zest, earthy yeast and vague caramel malt. Rather nice.
T: Tastes of light fruity hops with notes of mild tropical fruit, subtle citrus, leafiness, earthy yeast, caramel malt and faint stewed husks. Pretty dry, followed by an understated bitterness upon swallowing.
M: Mouthfeel is smooth, tingly and dry, with decent carbonation and good body. Mildly astringent. Aftertaste of mild tropical fruit, leafiness, earthy yeast and subtle malt.
O: Drinkable but not outstanding. Looks good, while the aroma and flavour impart fruity hops underpinned by earthy yeast and subtle malt. Decent body. Smells good but doesn't make as much impact as you might expect. Worth sampling.
