This is a hidden gem just outside of downtown Denver. Located in an old DMV building in a shopping plaza, you'd never know that these guys are kicking out some really good beers. Much bigger selection than you'd expect at a place of this size, and very friendly staff that are happy to accommodate groups. There's a decent amount of parking, and it's right near a light rail line too. Check this place out, and you won't be disappointed.

Located in a storefront, Spangalang is a small, but homey, brewery; there is a moderate size bar with a few high-top tables along the large windows, which overlook a patio and BBQ area. (Sounds like a good time.) Nice place offering a decent lager, an enjoyable IPA and a beauty they call Brut Colossus. Neat neighborhood as well. You can get here from downtown on the Light Rail L, which stops right in front. Can't beat that. I have no idea what "spangalang" means.

Great beer! They have a wide variety of styles, all of which are well done. Every beer was very drinkable but also packed with flavor.

They're just starting out but all offering a glowing endorsement given that:

- I spoke with the head brewers/owners and they were cool as hell, welcoming, friendly and generous.
- the beers are already tasting great across the board and involve a number of styles and varieties.
- the prices are fair.
- the ambiance is pleasant and relaxing (granted I visited midday on a Tuesday and it was dead).

I expect good things from this place and will continue to visit in the future.

Brand new spot in the five points area, and a mighty cool place that should do really well. The space is fairly stereotypical as far as taproom is concerned, but the beers are well ahead if where they should be for being so new. The apricot Berliner type was very good, the wit and the imperial stout were also special, hard to believe they have been open such a short time. Folks were nice in there, appreciative of our business and eager to chat. I loved the vibe, mellow without music or television, a place for conversation, and we need more like that. I was very impressed overall, and look forward to watching them grow. There is already a lot of hype around town about the double IPA. It was off when I was in, but I'll be back to try it for sure. Definitely a place worth checking out, seemingly missed most of the new brewery pitfalls...

edit: these guys have improved their game a lot since they opened, they now have a huge beer list featuring things of all styles including sours and barrel aged beers, and they have some incredibly ambitious offerings. i like it a little more each time i visit...
