Quite matching the name, the distinct poblano pepper is front and center in the smell and taste. There is still some room for pale ale, and the feel is like a thick one. Part of a sixer sampler in an oddball six in a row shaped pack.

12oz can, nice red wine glass, canned 8/10/17.
The head is impressive, all two plus fingers of it. The beer is a dark amber brown and clear.
Charcoal or wood cooked green chile is dominant. Rich malts, peppery, herbal, Noble hops, wood smoke.
Tangy, sharp wood smoke mixes with meaty green pepper for an excellent presentation of the special ingredient. There is a hearty malt body and low to moderate bitterness. The hop presence is herbal and earthy, but certainly not center stage.
Silky beer with low carbonation. It's a nice full mouthfeel.
While I think this being sold as a pale ale is maybe not quite right; it's more of a chile beer, though not a spicy one. They captured the fire roasted chile flavor almost exactly and made me want to drink more.

Local brewery, excellent APA - pour is a clear burnt orange, light tan head, really nice piney/citrusy hops on the nose with a healthy malt base.
Taste is nice balance between the piney hops and the malt. A really nice local beer.
