My 2000th beer!
Not much news, settles quick without lacing. Amber color.
Nose is heavy on malt and caramel
Taste is sweet malt, not much else going on, one dimensional
Thick mouthfeel, relatively low carbonation

12 fl oz pull-tab can ran me $9.99 USD plus tax at Collins Midtown Liquor, Tulsa, Oklahoma.
"Märzen style ale." 5.5% ABV. IBU 20.
Moderately sweet without tending too bready or feeling overtly underattenuated. Moderate residual sugars. Not much toastiness. Zero Noble hop presence (which isn't off style per se in my book).
It's balanced, but the malts don't boast much depth of flavour or freshness in taste. Finishes a bit minerally to its detriment.
Drinkable and likable if a bit full-bodied for a beer meant to be quaffed by the litre at festivals. A bit overcarbonated. Has no overt off-flavours.

Look - Thick, creamy-colored head that lingers covering the top of the beer. The color is a rusty orange, but not nearly as dark as others I’ve had.
Smell - sweet, caramel malt. Typical marzen yeast. No hop bitterness.
Taste - malty, slight bitterness. I appreciate the flavor, but I wish it were stronger.
Mouthfeel - good body, and evident carb.
Overall - a little disappointing. I love marzens but this one was just a bit weak/watered down for my liking. Surprising, as I’ve enjoyed all other Tupps beers much more.

Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a hazy orange color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades super-fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is huge of a biscuit and yeasty smell, mixed with a bit of stale bread and spent grain. Along with these smells comes a touch of citrus and caramel sweetness and some grass. Overall the mix of aromas is not very appealing….
Taste – The taste begins with a thick bready and buiscuity taste that has some light fruit sweetness of pear and apple, as well as a bit of caramel. The malt really dominates this one and remains rather strong throughout. The big malt is even further bolstered by some flavors of a doughiness and yeastiness as the flavors advance. At the same time the caramel fades all while some toffee like tastes come to the tongue. In the end, one is left with a heavy bready malted biscuit taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is thicker and chewier for a 5.5 % abv brew, with a carbonation level that is slightly lower. For the big bready malt taste, the feel is rather fitting, although a slightly lesser body may have been slightly better for keeping it easier to drink.
Overall – A malt heavy Oktoberfest that has an off putting smell and look. Not something I would recommend going out of your way for….

Hazy medium amber with an off-white head. Smells of damp grain. Mild flavor, malty-sweet but with a slightly disagreeable bitter note that lingers a bit too long. Light to medium bodied.
