Served on tap in a frosty 22 oz mug.
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden color with a two finger head of billowy white foam and with some ice originating from the sides of the glass floating in the beer. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a good deal of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a grainy smell mixed with some aromas corn and hay. Along with these smells comes a light herbal and caramel aroma.
Taste - The taste begins with a crisp, slightly grainy and corn sweet taste. As the taste advances it maintains its crispness, all the while losing the graininess and increasing in a cracker malt and corn sweet taste. Toward the end a touch of hay and herb come to the tongue, leaving one with a crisp and light taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is very light and thin with a carbonation level that is on the medium to slightly higher side. For the style and the abv. the cold brew with the thin body makes for a quite refreshing and easy drinking brew overall.
Overall – A nice easy drinking Mexican style light lager. Would be a good session style brew to stay “hydrated” with while eating chips and wings and watching football!
