Pumpkin orange in color and clear. No head or lacing.
Aromas of citrus, indistinct sour fruit, acid, and sweetness.
Taste is similar with sour fruit, funk, muted vinegar like qualities, and a subtle sweet note.
Mouthful is medium light and crisp. Carbonation is medium. Finish is clean.
A very drinkable “sour”. Alcohol is higher but hidden. Flavors are balanced. Paired well with a gut-buster grilled cheese.

Very dry and funky with subtle cherry. Nice sour, but not complex or bursting with flavor.

Growler poured into a Trillium tulip. Thin, white head with low retention. An amber / orange hue, and no haze. Smell is of tart citrus fruits and a touch of sour apple. Some lemon tart is most noticeable to me. A robust feel for a wild ale, good tingle in the cheeks. Overall a nice, refreshing offering from Ocelot. More defined / stronger-in-flavor than Idle Hands. Will buy again.

On tap at brewery:
Pours a dark burnt orange, looking almost light brown at its darkest point. Being a newer brewery, don't think wood coloring seeped into it. Looking down the glass I see the table through the pour. The head is just off white, fairly thick at the edges.
Nose is fruity sour: sour apple, peach, with a light lemon or maybe even lime component for accent. There's also a hint of woody funk with a deeper inhalation.
Taste follows the nose in the main fruits, but the accent seems a tad more cider vinegar like. I like a light fruit vinegar note in my sours, usually the darker ones. As that flavor strengthens, there's actually a fleeting sweeter fruit note that is interesting to me - like a red delicious apple accidentally got in the sour apple barrel.
Feel is a little heavier than I normally expect from a sour, but at almost 7%, it's a heavier-than-normal sour. That is a relative statement, the beer is about medium and the crisp sour bite lightens it slightly. The sour also adds a lttle bite on the tongue.
Quite an enjoyable beer. A little bit of complexity in it above being straight sour, but not overly complex. Not light enough to be just completely refreshing. A good middle-of-the-road sour.
