Taster on May 11, 2016 at brewery.
L: Deep chestnut brown color. Little head or retention.
S: Light coffee, unsweetened cocoa, roasted malts
T: Follows nose, but seems stilted or blunted, not very forward. Hint of alcohol on finish.
F: Medium body, light to medium carbonation. Construction and balance are both OK, but flavor lacking.
O: Decent porter, but needs a kick of some sort.

Very rich and smooth. Bold coffee, noticeable nitro. A bit harsh in the finish.

Thanks Kegatron for the share. A growler poured into a tulip the brew appears black with brown clarity around the edges and a mocha froth rests atop fading leaving patchy lace.
Smell is pleasantly roasty with burnt almost acrid citrus notes as well. Taste is roasty with char, earth, leather and citrus hops. A pretty robust and bitter dry porter.
This is medium in body with modest carbonation. Clean and very easy drinking with solid roast profile and slight alcohol warmth.

At the brewery on a Monday afternoon. Poured into a large stemmed fluted glass.
A very enjoyable beer but watch out for the ABV. IMHO an excellent Porter. I will drink this one again. 4.25
A - Pours a dark brown with a nice frothy light tan head. - 4.25
S - Aromas of roasted malts, hints of coffee, no chocolate or other sweetness. Some faint vinous like aromas. 4.25
T - Very roasty, but not too bitter, ABV well hidden, a hint of sweetness on the tip of the tongue. 4.5
MF - A medium bodied beer with a lasting dry bitter finish. - 4

Growler 2 days after pickup from brewery:
Almost black with a nice finger plus of white head. Head lasts and laces.
Nose is indistinct, but general roastiness.
Taste is bold roasted malts, coffee astringent.
Little alcohol heat, astringent bitterness draws on tongue.
Nice offering, but on the bolder side.
