Enjoyed at Smoke and Barrel in D.C. POUR: On tap poured into a 16oz nonic pint. APPEARANCE: Somewhat golden or straw in color. Hazy, cant see through. Lots of aggressive bubbles rising to the top. Huge head coming up over the top of the lip of the glass and staying there. White, creamy and smooth. Lots of glass lacing present. AROMA: Big citrus and earthy notes. Nelson Sauvin hops. Lots of grass and somewhat spicy on the nose. TASTE: Follows the nose. Not as much citrus on the tongue. More mild and quaffable. The earthy grass really dominates here. Very much like fresh grass clippings in a glass. Crisp and dry. AFTERTASTE: The citrus returns on the back end. Mild tangerine or grapefruit-like. Crisp and clean on the backend but does retain a slight bitterness but nothing too serious. NOTES: Easy to drink and refreshing. Possibly crushable. very crisp and clean. Huge head which I don't think is common. RESULT/RATING: Very good / 4.5 out of 5.

500 mL bottle dated 9/15/16. Poured into Belgian ale glass.
L: Semi-hazy pale to medium golden. 2F head with good retention, good lacing, cap and ring.
S: Tropical, berry, and earthy dankness from the Nelson Sauvin hops. Slight, slight fade after 2 weeks (I know, I know). Not a big deal.
T: Berry, grape, and tropical notes. Lots of earthy dankness and some pineyness. Very good if you like Nelson.
F: Light to medium body, light carbonation. Well constructed and balanced.
O: Solid dank IPA.

The beer pours a creamy and white head. The beer itself is a clear pale gold.
The smell and taste are fantastic. The smell and taste have a very nice overall tropical note to them with a bunch of different hop notes. The smell has a nice mango and light lemon smell to it while the taste is a bit more intense. The taste has more of an orange rind in addition to the lemon rind and mango notes as well as a light pine. There is also a light honey sweetness from the malt notes.
The beer has a very nice feel to it. the beer has a creamy feel that is great!
Overall, a great beer and one that 's pretty easy to drink. If it's available, go for it.

A: This poured a clear gold with some white head.
S: It smelled like apricot and dank herbal hops, with some pineapple and lemon zest.
T: It tasted like bold dank herbal hops and grapefruit and apricot, with some pineapple and minerals. It had a clean bitter aftertaste.
M: It was watery with a little carbonation. Light body.
D: This was a fantastic brew bursting with flavor, but well balanced and super clean. Delicious scent and taste, although the body was a little weak. The finish was smooth enough, so it was easy to drink but could be sipped to savor. One of my favorite IPAs.

Another amazing IPA from Ocelot. This one features Nelson Sauvin hops. They are the star in this beer. The light, citrus flavor is very apparent but with a complexity not typical of American hops. Ocelot keeps churning out incredible IPAs, I'm very impressed. I hope this beer makes a return in the future!
