From a fresh growler, pours a lovely pale gold with greenish highlights. Two fingers of bright white foam leaves streaks of lacing that stick to the glass.
Smell is initially citrus: orange, grapefruit and lemon, then grassy notes and savory herbs. Taste follows, with some pine resin coming in toward the nicely bitter finish. No malt evident at all that I can detect. Feel is a little on the thin and watery side, but with a beer this good, it's maybe nitpicking.
Overall a fantastic APA, with a ridiculous amount of flavor packed in. Once again, Ocelot does not disappoint.

On tap at brewery:
Lovely looking pale golden beer with a bit of haze. Tight head that provides lovely lacing, and froths like a crashing wave with a swirl of the glass.
Nose is muted but some tropical floral notes seem to rise up. A swirl opens up the fruity notes, but they are more of the peel and pith and rind of a fruit than the flesh. Evidence of bitterness to come??
Grassy and pithy are the main bitter notes I get, and I get them up front and pretty strong. There's only a light cracker grain note to stand up against these. Orange and the lighter hint at pineapple are the actual fruit notes I perceive (more than directly taste). The Galaxy hop profile calls for passionfruit, which I canget in more obvious examples, but not sure in this beer. Feel is medium light, with fairly caressing carbonation.
A little more straight bitter than I'd like, though a fairly straightforward brew. Maybe a little more malt balance would help for me.
