On tap at brewery - nitro that didn’t seem as such:
A near black body didn’t show much of a cascade of nitro bubble. The head is fairly creamy, but didn’t really build or hold (ABV may play in). Lacing was spotty - pretty good looking for a non-nitro, at least.
Nose and taste lean heavily on classic roasted malts for flavors and feel. Coffee and the black crumbs of an over-toasted grain bread hit my nose. A little alcohol can be discerned. Taste follows, but with a little more char/smoke with a slightly coffee-acrid back. Alcohol is also noted here - a little more than in the nose but with no more than a little burn in back.
If you like a straightforward (no frills/additions) big roast/char stout, try this one out.

It's a black and opaque beer. The smell and taste have a nice sweet dark chocolate note with some light roasted malt notes. There is some alcohol in the nose but it's not too bad.

A: This poured an opaque black with a bit of light tan head.
S: It smelled like roasted coffee and dark chocolate, with a little dark fruit and molasses.
T: It tasted like bitter dark chocolate and dry roasted coffee, with a little molasses. It had a clean bittersweet aftertaste with some alcohol warming.
M: It was oily with a little carbonation. Nice slick body.
D: This as a nice imperial stout, with well balanced scent and taste but pretty basic. The body was solid, but the finish was hot, so it was better to sip. Age would help mellow this beast. Fresh was good not great.
