One of the best Double IPA's from the brewery. Lots of pineapple and melon notes in this one. Incredible stuff. This brewery can't do no wrong when it comes to the hoppy stuff

Beautiful beer. Hazy golden color with a 2 finger foamy white head. Fruity nose with pineapple, orange, grapefruit. Huge taste. Orange, mango, grapefruit, dank resin, and a touch of malty bread. Dry finish. Amazing beer.

Day old growler from brewery poured into Lawson's tulip glass

L: 2F head with good retention, some lacing, ring. Beer is a hazy pale gold.

S: Lots of tropical fruit like mangos, guava, pineapple, strawberry. Smells like a Galaxy hop, but I understand it's a new Australian one called Vic's Secret, which is supposed to be similar. In any case, it's very nice. Some lemon and orange, light biscuit malt.

T: Follows through solidly on the nose, though taste seems more citrus-based with grapefruit and lemon peel forward, tropical fruit still there, and a piney dankness on the finish.

F: Medium body, light to medium carbonation, well-constructed. Bitterness lingers a bit on finish, could be drier, but minor quibble.

O: This is a very, very solid effort by a new brewery 5 miles from my house. Honestly have no reason to go to New Jersey or Vermont to get quality beer with any regularity if they keep this up. I expect to be trying and reviewing many, many more of Ocelot's offerings.

Wow. You talk about clean west coast ipas that aren't super sweet guava/pineapple juice, this beer exemplifies that perfection. Lots of flavor including white grape, tangerines, faint grapefruit and pine needles come together to make a most dank flavor that stays crisp throughout.

On tap at the brewery. Great beer with a complex flavor and a very nice aroma. This is another great beer from a great brewery that consistently makes very good beers!

This beer is from the first bottling of this IIPA: bottled 4/28, consumed 4/29. I guess it's fresh...Pours a mostly clear rich gold with an ample, bright white head. Thick sheets of lacing coat the glass. Beautiful.

Smell is white grape juice and ruby red grapefruit, with an undercurrent of savory, oniony herbs. Notes of peach, pineapple, mango, orange and dank. Taste reverses the smell, with an almost rye-like spice and savory herbs foremost, with the fruit taking a backseat. Onion notes are definitely there, but combined with the sweet white grape juice, it somehow works really well. Midway through, a big bitterness takes hold, but it's just shy of being abrasive, and I love it. Alcohol nonexistent.

Feel is perfectly medium, hefty and smooth, but neither heavy nor oily. Really nice.

Overall, a super clean IIPA that is one of my favorites from this stellar brewery. Totally recommended.
