Clear brown color. Off white head. Looks really nice but thin for an altered.
Nice roasted and smokey malt. A good mix with a grassy hop bitterness with a sweet malt note in the smell.
Taste has the same note but with less hop bitterness and more smokey malt.
Light body but a bit thick. Good biting carbonation. Dry finish.
Very good if a bit light.

On tap at brewery:
Pours a slightly ruddy brown. I can see my fingers though my glass, but I'm a bit surprised I can. The head is a nice off-white to light tan foam, providing much lacing.
Nose is very earthy overall. There's a light but inescapable bitterness over a grainy malt base - similar to the bitterness in a hoppier porter. As the beer warms, the combination and new scents gain a slightly floral note - but definitely not hugely tropical or fragrant flower.
Taste is a bitter brown. The nuttiness of a typical English brown don't really come out, and the taste is similar to that initial smell, earthy (and bitter). Sad to reuse a comparison, but it's like a hoppy porter where the bitterness is from the hops and almost none from the roasted malt. As the beer warms and my palate adjusts, a roasted malt seems to takes its place at the base, but the beer overall remains overall an earthy, clay-like bitter. The bitterness is not overpowering, but seems to tilt the scales its way the whole taste.
Despite the bitter flavors, the beer remains lighter on the tongue, almost medium but not quite. Nothing in this beer drags the tongue in a direction that it doesn't recover from quickly.
Not a style I'm well-versed in, but I antes to give it a good analysis. I'd like a little more malt, little less bitter - and a more balanced offering overall.
