On tap at brewery:
Brewed with Waimea and Experimental 06300, this is a highly bitter hoppy beer in the Ocelot style, but with some new flavors than you classic citrus and pine.
Pours vary hazy but not opaque. Light golden to yellow-white with the haze. The white head draws pictures with the lacing.
Nose does actually have a little citrus rind to it, but there is a definite spicy grassy note as well. There's also a little earthy funk.
The opening notes on a cold beer remind me of Montueka and Sorachi, but a more dank version of these hops. As it warms, the similarities fade a bit. Clean malt opening is short before the lemongrassy notes come in. Reedy grass, with maybe a little pine wood comes out of this, as the bitterness ramps up. Tingling carbonation on a lightweight beer keeps things moving. Grapefruit rind and a bit of dank piney notes come along and join the grass notes, which to me end up lingering in the end.
I can't see this being for everyone. While some of the classic hop notes are in this bitter beer, thy combine in a not-so-classic way.

A: This poured a clear straw with a little white head.
S: It smelled like apricot and lemon zest and grassy hops, with some light wild honey.
T: Brewed with the Waimea hop, this tasted like bitter citrus zest and resin, with some apricot and grassy hops. It had a clean bitter aftertaste.
M: It was oily with moderate carbonation. Nice slick body.
D: This was a very bitter and dry beer. It was not juicy or fruity like most modern IPAs, but quite crisp and clean. It had a good body but a lasting bitter finish, so it was better to sip. Not the best from Ocelot, but still a nice change of pace from the usual IPA. Quality brew.

Poured a light semi-cloudy yellow gold body with fizzy head. Aroma is acidic, grassy and slight tangerine sweetness. Smooth, light body, actually has a sweet orange/tangerine(grapefruit) with crisp bitterness and it's only slightly bitter and easy to drink.
