This was crisp and clean, but more watery and less bold than their typical IPA. It had a nice mellow citrus character, but seemed weak, more like a session IPA.

From a growler, pours a mostly clear orange-gold. Small head leaves attractive lacing.
Smell and taste combine bright citrus and pine, along with some spicy notes. Modest bitterness.
Feel is more substantial than typical Ocelot, which is good, but the beer is under-carbonated which detracts.
A good IPA that would be better with proper carb.

Pint for $8++ at Rustico Ballston. Slightly hazy light orange. Little nose. Orange, lemon, pine, with slightly bitter finish with resin and earthy. Thin as with most Ocelot. Good not great.

On tap at brewery:
Pours a little darker than most pales, more like a DIPA. Golden with an amber lean. Head is white, lasting, and produces lace of a snowy night.
Nose is a little better than light and requires some coaxing. A light raw vegetal note is the only bitter indicator on an otherwise melon to dull tropical fruit notes. There's the lightest sweet toast note to the malt, then a mellow hop fruitiness.
This beer isn't overly light, but has a watery aspect to it. Maybe the lighter than average carbonation is to blame (surprising given the lasting head). The notes are mellow, but follow the nose, barely sweet cantaloupe and papaya - like someone didn't know how to pick nice, ripe versions of these fruits. A skin-more-than-pith bitterness is decent in the end.
I'm surprised at 6.8%, this has a watered down aspect to it. As it warmed the taste improved and flavors started coming out more - more honeysuckle to accentuate the melon/light tropical notes. Still an easy drinker overall.
