On tap at brewery:
Pours cloudy with a slight bit of light getting through at the base of the Spieglau-like glass. Nice lace-producing white head that doesn’t show up front a large cap.
Nose has a rubbery (oat?) tropical rind feel to it. Oat, funky (like rotting) citrus peel and tropical fruit rind, likely caused by the bitter acids of the hops.
Taste follows, with the oat and bitter notes quickly quelling a sweet to citrusy fruit opening. Medium body that has an early biting carbonation. This fades but it leaves a tad heavier more than softer feel, perhaps due to the bitter and light grain/nutty notes of oatmeal.
A fair offering that seems to be a little more cloudy NE IPA than their normal hazy IPAs.
