Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. March 13th 2018.
Pale yellow, with a nice lemon like shine and glow. Slightly cloudy, with fine carbonation. Creamy and rich filling three finger tall head, with thick creamy cling ring lace and chunks.
Hop aroma is a playful dank, with touches of juiced up pineapple and tropical feeling. A bit of a neutral malt presence, maybe a touch of wheaty richness. Pretty solid otherwise.
Very surprising palate. Rich filled hop flavor on first sip. Spicy touches of pepper and earthy dank flavors. Expressive chewy sweet bakery body, mixing with an excellent almost creamy mouthfeel. Finishes hop pepper and not bitterness with a large fruit spice mix. Big amounts of herbal green tea and sage like aromas, with excellent spice kick.
What a neat fascinating hop profile this Ekuanot is, made for one excellent tasty brew!
