Brewed just once before — back in 2019 — Bigger Cat is the imperial version of Big Cat, an 11% triple IPA made in collaboration with our pals at The Veil.
We summoned this titanic tabby with Golden Promise, pilsner malt, and a whole lot of rolled and malted oats. We nourished it with Galaxy and Citra during the whirlpool… Super Sauvin and Nelson Kohia during primary fermentation… and finally more Galaxy, more Citra, and our hand-selected Freestyle Nelson Sauvin during the dry-hop. This Pacific Northwest + Southern Hemisphere combo brings gargantuan notes of passion fruit, red grapefruit, crushed white grape, melon, and orange citrus.
If you encounter a Bigger Cat… well, it’s probably already too late.

Received two cans for the friends and family rate of $5/per can on 10-20-22 from a friend who ventured to the brewery. Canned 9-24-25; consumed 10-29-25.
Beer poured chilled golden orange with a smallish white head that is leaving some lacing behind.
Nose is tropical and citrus fruit forward.
Taste is a large malt base in which the hops give me orange and passion fruit up front. Getting some grapefruit pink flesh mixed with white wine in post sip aspirations. Consistent bitterness throughout the process which leans toward rind and pith; 7/10 on my scale.
Mouthfeel is old-school large bodied and very smooth.
Overall, i dig this as there are lots of flavors going on. No hop burn or alcohol fuel. Nicely done!

On tap at brewery:
Murky white peach flesh body, with a large, loose cloud of white atop it. The latter falls to a blur of white across the surface and a curtain of lace.
Nose has a light burnt rubber alcohol or yeast note that accents an overripe mango, cantaloupe, and orange. A hint of oat joins an indistinct sweeter scent that plays second fiddle to the fruit notes.
Taste isn’t quite as juicy or sweet as I expected from the nose. There’s a tropical juice smoothie opening but it’s backed by a pithy citrus counter. A bit of burn on an otherwise smooth mouthfeel. Medium, leaning heavy body doesn’t kill the lightly peppering carbonation. As is warms, the tropical fruit gets more ripe and the contrast with the bitter counter becomes less severe, even though I start to notice some pine resin in the back.
A fairly good higher ABV IPA, though there is a bit of a light burn in it. A decent balance of hop juiciness and bitterness. Not nearly as good as Talking Backwards, though, in my opinion.

On tap, pours a very hazy light orange. Smell and taste have a ton of fresh hop flavor, with lots of tropical and citrus fruits and some pine resin. Other people said they picked up some booze, but I get none. Feel is a smooth medium, definitely drinkable. Yes.
