On tap at brewery:
Dark brown to point of being opaque. Frothy bubbly crescent moon falls to a decent beige ring.
Notes of carob, raisin, light milk tang, and dark brown sugar in the nose. Barrel not very evident.
Taste has chocolate cola, coconut, root spice. Barrel comes through and seems to make this likely somewhat sweet offering a little bit like a soda candy with the root spice notes.
This beer isn’t that thick for its sweetness, though it is a bit sticky. Carbonation lifts it a tad. The way o describe it, I’d expect to like it less than I do. Though I think one glass at a time is good enough.
