A disappointing ocelot effort.
I need to do a blind taste comparison eaten this beer and vanilla extract. Not sure which one wins!!!!???
Cloying sweet. Nothing balancing the chocolate and the excessive vanilla. You can taste some barrel spiciness but it is just an afterthought.
The Weller-barrel is lost in the one. If it’s there at all it just over emphasizes/multiplies the vanilla and contributes to the sweetness.

The beer pours a nice brown and foamy head that dissipates very quickly while the beer itself is a dark chocolate and coffee dark brown that strongly resembles black. It looks nice.
The smell has a strong, roasted coffee note upfront with a mix of moderate vanilla and a light cinnamon note in the finish.
The taste has strong roasted coffee notes with a maple syrup note in the finish. there are some light vanilla notes as well but the coffee seems to take over everything. The cocoa nibs come out a little bit in the finish.
The feel is good. It has a thin body with tingling carbonation and a very dry finish.
Overall, a pretty good imperial stout and worth getting.

Pours a deep dark brown, jet black, with tan head.
I see a red label...
Maple, vanilla, freshly ground coffee on the nose. It's so inviting.
And I wanted to painted black...
Chocolate, maple, coffee, a little bourbon - toast, cinnamon, vanilla - this is quite tasty.
No colors anymore...
The flavors are layered and well composed. Nothing at all lacking, no off flavors to compete with.
I want them to turn black...
This is luxurious maple, toast, coffee. It's a beautiful presentation of all of those flavors. Well put together stout that I imagine would be heating up the trade boards if bottled and/or waxed.
