The latest chapter in our exploration of hoppy pale ales, Walking Through Windows is an easy-drinking, all-barley beaut constructed from English Pearl, 2-row, and Vienna malts.
We hopped this 5.8% brew at IPA rates, starting with a hefty whirlpool addition of Centennial Incognito — that magical liquid hop concentrate from Haas Hops. After fermentation, we dry-hopped with an even split of almighty Citra and one of our favorite newer cultivars, Strata.
Swirling with grapefruit, tangerine, orange peel, strawberry, and a hint of dankness, Walking Through Windows evokes some of the West Coast classics while remaining firmly rooted in the present.
It would be a shame to waste this.
