Pours hazy straw color with huge thick head. Smells yeasts, bread and banana. The taste is unbalanced sour. Light-bodied and crisp. Not a good hefeweizen.

Rich's comes thorough again with the latest strange...
Pours a murky golden amber, opaque with the yeast poured in. Huge billowing head of fluffy white foam, lots of sticky lacing around the edges. Long lasting surface coverage for the duration of the glass.
Big banana aroma, creamy smooth wheatiness in a supporting role.
Banana and wheat flavors, pretty pronounced, slightly watery on the back end, but all in all a nice presentation. Definitely a Bavarian yeast strain at work here. Slight astringency to knock a couple points off, but overall this is much more solid than the numbered Baltika Weizen I first tried many moons ago. They even used a German font on the label, I call that progress.
