It's a pale golden color. The aroma of malt and grass. Empty taste with light bitterness. Easy to drink. Short aftertaste.

Bright, jolly golden beer. High carbonation level. Head bubbly and unstable, minimum lace.
Aroma malty with just a hint of hops.
Start spritzy, body slender and gentle, with malts taking over hops. Not sweet, though, and not even sweetish - a healthy dry lager. Finish malty-hoppy, aftertaste a bit yeasty but pleasant (I would prefer a hoppy one).
Very clear and drinkable beer.

Yes, I am mellowing in my opinion on Russian beers. For yet another pale lager, this definitely has no real faults, and compares well to any other "premium" out there. Golden color, another thin but lacy head, good light pilsner malt with hops just holding it back. This could be used as an example of Russias potential to become a good beer country.

Comes in a tall brown half-liter bottle with a dignified white, gold and blue label featuring a couple of sphynxes. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Bottled on 7/15/03 and good for 9 months, I opened mine on 10/17/03.
Pours a healthy deep clear gold under a thin white head that fades very quickly. No lace. The nose is very mild - just a touch of malt. The mouth is very prickly and light bodied. The taste is slightly malty, but pretty plain. Not objectionable, but definitely not exciting. There's a bit of hoppy bitterness in the finish. The aftertaste might even qualify as refreshing. Drinkable if the other choices are bad, but can't say much more for it.
