Look: Leningradskoye had an average amount of foam.
Smell: Leningradskoye had an aroma of brown sugar, mixed with grains and rusty metal.
Taste: Leningradskoye had a bland taste with hints of brown sugar.
Feel: Leningradskoye had below average carbonation.
Overall: Folks who seek a beer which tastes like a vaguely bittersweet sweet seltzer well definitely enjoy Leningradskoye.

I bought a bottle of Leningradskoye in Glendale/California/USA for $1.99 USD.

Man was this a hard beer to look up. The name on this label is slightly different "Leningradskoe" right manufacturer strength and label colors so this is it.

This is a clear golden colored beer with a decent white colored head.

The smell is mildly sweet with a good toasted grain aroma. The hops are herbal and quite grassy.

The taste begins sweet and clean with a mild nutty flavor. Fairly herbal tasting for a lager this is quite mild and similar to a Heineken. Really though this isn't so notable.

The mouthfeel is OK.

Just another Euro Lager without anything very great about it. No reason to seek this out at all.

Comes in a standard brown half-liter bottle with a pretty cool blue, white and gold label featuring one of St. Petersburg's (aka Leningrad) open draw bridges, the city's skyline in the background backlit by the midnight sun. Ingredients include pale and caramel malts, and barley. Can't say I noticed much of the caramel. Best before 3/29/04, I opened it on 11/29/03.

Pours a basic clear gold, neither pale nor dark, under a 1.5 finger white head that is fairly firm and sticks around a good long while. No lace, though. The nose is malty with a hint of corn or some other sweet grain. There's plenty of carbonation to go with the mouth's medium body. There's some sweet malt in the taste, chased by a substantial hoppiness, both crisp and bitter. The finish is slightly harsh, but this mellows into a pleasantly bitter aftertaste. Not bad.
