Found this in a gas station just outside of Tomsk in Siberia. The can is silver and blue, with little more than writing. Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 7/7/04, I opened it on 3/27/04.
Clear light gold under a 1.5 finger white head that showed some contour at first, but quickly disappeared. The nose is dominated by metallic hops, with just a hint of grain lurking in the background. The mouth is light and prickly. The taste opens with some fresh, slightly sweet malt. The metallic hops kick in fairly quickly, though, leaving a pretty good bite in the finish. The aftertaste revives the sweet undertones to slightly smooth out the hoppy bitterness, but there's still a bit too much tinniness here. I'll (probably) finish this one, but I doubt I'll get it again the next time I hit a gas station in Siberia!
