Obtained in Yekaterinburg, in the Urals region, the name means "Golden Ural". The bottle is brown with a thin (but not long) neck and a silver and gold label featuring some kind of small lizard with a crown on its head (but no mug in its "hand"). Ingredients conform to the purity law. Best before 3/29/05, I opened it on 1/29/05.

Pours a standard clear gold under a one finger snow white head that settles fairly slowly but leaves no lacing at all. The nose is very malty, a touch on the bready side but fairly clean. The mouth is a touch heavier than most, and reasonably well carbonated. Decent malt taste at first, quickly subsumed by some strong flowery AND metallic hops lending a nice dry bite through most of the experience. The aftertaste of dry hop bitterness is very pleasant. Quite good taste, despite its less than inspiring presentation.
