L- Very dark chestnut/ruby when held close to a halogen bulb, otherwise it is effectively black. Pours clear, with a 5mm pale tan head that holds well 3.75/5
S- Quite roasty-toasty with a coffee note in it. 3.5/5
T- Strikingly sweet (ie more sugary than malty), then slightly smokey, with a coffee note in it’s finish 2/5
F- Cloying sweetness over a thin un-rewarding mouth-feel 1.5/5
O- I think what it lacks in ABV% it aims to substitute by amping up the sweetness. I lived in Germany for three years and this is unlike ANY Dunkel/Schwarzbier I had there. It is very different but not in a positive way, and I would not choose to ever drink it again. 1.5/5
Bought from BeerOfEurope (UK), where it's (likely incorrectly) listed as a Czech beer. £2.39 Dunkel/Schwarzbier BB: 01/06/20 500ml. Rear lable all in Cyrillic (ie Russian) micro-print. ABV is 3.5%

Dark brown color with tan head fizzing away instantly. Aroma has toasted malt, some burnt sugar and dark bread crust. Taste starts sweet with toasted malt, brown sugar and burnt bread crust. Very light roasty bitterness on the finish. Light body with low to medium carbonation. It's an easy drinking beer with nice caramelized malt notes but it's really simple overall.

Bottled 7/7/13. Best before 8/7/14.

Pours an almost opaque super dark crimson-brown with a foamy khaki head that fades to nothing. No lacing on the drink down. Smell is of dark roasted malt, slight cocoa, slight caramel, and some metallic aromas. Taste is much the same with sweet dark grains and cocoa powder flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of roasty bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a poor beer that tastes more like a super sweet chocolate and grain flavored soda than beer in my opinion.
