Chestnut red colour, clear. High head, yellow-brown in colour, disappears very quickly from the surface of the liquid.
The aroma is distinct and strong, with sweet, caramel, candied, toasted or even burnt malt notes. In the background, slightly more delicate, dried dark fruits, plums in syrup or liqueur. I like it.
The taste is very sweet, syrupy, leaving a sweet sticky film on the lips, counterbalanced by a stronger, "herbal" bitterness. Hoppy notes in the finish.
The alcohol is unobtrusive, slightly "scratchy" on the throat. Low carbonation. Full body. Smooth, soft, almost oily texture. Medium-long aftertaste, sweet with accompanying herbal bitterness.
