Copenhagen 5/8 2019. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Southamptongade, Nordhavn. As “Gran de Select Pilsner”. Mini champagne bottle with what looks like a pretty home-made yellow label.
Pours murky orange with a very big white head. Bubbly. Settles as a 1,5 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No Lacing.
Aroma is intense, citric with a lighter fruity sweetness. Lemon, Citrus. Acidic notes. Moderate odor of sweet Pear and caramel.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, watery and very lively texture.
Flavor is medium sweet. Balanced by a medium strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a light, sweet undercurrent. Lingers shortly.
Not much to do with a Pilsner. More of a Champagne Beer with the vineous touch and the fairly strong carbonation.
