Copenhagen 9/32019. 33 cl corked bottle from Meny, Southamptongade, Nordhavn. The label looks like a badly made photo copy. Hard to read and fairly fuzzy. Should be produced like champagne with natural carbonation and a second fermentation in the bottle.
Pours murky, hazy amber with a small white head. Settles as 0,5 cm tick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma has strong malty backbone and lighter fruitiness. Caramel, sweet malts, light roastiness. Unripe tart gooseberries, citrus and elder-flower. Slightly unbalanced.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, soft, lightly prickly texture.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by a slightly stronger tart bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with lighter perfumed, fruity notes. Lingers for a bit.
Charming if slightly unusual beer with a light vinous quality.
