Poured from a nicely silk-screened growler into a St. Bernardus chalice.

A vigorous pour reveals almost no head. I suppose the train ride took its toll. The brewery is just across the street from the Amtrak station in Glenwood, you can see the trains arrive from the bar. The visible head is almost as red as the beer, which is a healthy amber-red, clear and headless.

The beer is standard-fare brewpub amber. Malty and grainy is the nose with a slight hop note.

The taste is slightly sweet, slightly tangy and grainy. A good amber as it is not over-malty and is well balanced.

Feel is light and decently carbonated in spite of the lack of head.

All in all the beer is good. Not my favorite but the $13 growler is an OK deal. Tasty and well balanced and rather drinkable.
