Copenhagen 8/4 2022. 75 cl chubby bottle from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Some happy mountaineers struggling up a mountainside with a very red background on the label.
Pours clear dark amber with a big off-white head. Stable. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is moderately intense with a sweet malty odor mingling with a candy like sweetness. Caramel, toffee, chocolate. Brown sugar. Hints of nuts.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, almost flat texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a tad sugary. Lingers for a while. Finish is sweet and bready.
Decent, sweet Bock.
