500ml bottle - $12.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Appearance: Pours a nearly clear, golden-hued body with an inch or so of casually dispersing, whitish foam.
Smell: A creamy-scented cream of wheat topnote bouncing around touches of lemon, lightly funky, lightly lactic and a middling, mild oaken quality.
Taste: Munch of wheat loaf with light, faint vanilla. Fleeting floral tones, a tiny dollop of lemon creme. Almost imperceptible, un-toasted almond slivers. Softly oaken. Sourish, tart and lightly funky, but it stays rather drinkable, nicely dry through its finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium-light carbonation. It's got a relatively gentle mouthfeel, though it does have a little zip to it.
Overall: Keenly drinkable, likable and well balanced. With no appreciable dating, I am unsure of the bottle's age. However, the Woodpile releases seem to have adopted a newer, larger label, so... 2018-19? I dunno.
