Poured from 500mL bottle into my BeerAdvocate teku.
Appearance: pale medium golden hue with a light haze and two thick fingers of frothy eggshell foam. Nice!
Smell: plenty of Brettanomyces funkiness right up front, backed by a dash of sweetness that works here. This is brewed with pinot noir grapes, and the vinous quality comes through. Color me intrigued!
Taste: a very nice funk, not at all overdone, and nicely offset by the sweetness of the grapes. There’s a little bite to the finish, which I like, as well as kind of a buttery smoothness to the whole operation. I dig it.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a big, well integrated carbonation and a nice creaminess.
Overall: I like this beer a lot; it’s a savory sipper, and I’m going to enjoy it to the last.
