For this particular quaff, we went WAAYYYY down South, all the way to New Zealand, to brew up an IPA as quenching as it is dank and bursting at the seams with tropical fruit character. Starting with an elegant West Coast IPA malt bill, we layered an English-IPA-style minerality and a massively gluttonous bounty of quintessential New Zealand hops - Waimea, Nelson Sauvin, and Riwaka. The result is a dank and intensely hoppy brew that is subtly reminiscent of the traditional English IPAs of yore but new school in all the right ways. Except diesel, guava, lime, mango, passionfruit, a refreshing minerality, a touch of English fermentation character, and an ultra-dry and refreshing finish. Basically, everything that is New Zealand and IPA, but without an expensive and highly uncomfortable 18-hour flight. Enjoy!

This IPA has a completely different flavor profile than North American IPAs. I really liked this beer, my son not so much, he prefers the American IPAs. It has a more tropical flavor and even at 50IBUs you don't notice that much hop notes. The good or bad thing is it doesn't taste like 7.5 ABV. In my opinion it is a very good beer, but DIFFERENT! 50 IBUs Rated 12-9-2022
