Thin and quickly receding, light tan head. Clear, dark auburn/chestnut look. A boozy barrel aroma, gets things going, smell wise, with a bit of a caramel note. Good sized tart and slightly sour flavor, presides over the taste, then a slightly sour, medium roasted wood flavor, joins the fray in a rather subdued manner, as the sour/tart characteristic remains until the finish. Rather thin bodied for a porter of any kind.
