This was a special in early March. It was served in a standard pint glass and the beer is a very hazy rust color with a dense beige head.
I liked the aroma of malts, caramel and bits of raw sugar.
The taste starts sweet but is quickly pulled in by a bit of pine-based bitterness. Balanced with a touch of caramel and a bit of brown sugar.
Mouth borders between slick and slightly thick.
This is a good session red that is easy to pair with Rag Time's tasty food. I think it is a bit more hoppy than their standard Red Brick and that moves the scores up a notch.
