I was a little leery about this one, but it turned out better than expected. Was at the point in the night where it was time to get turnt. Triple ipa, lets go. Had this in October 2022 while in town for a work conference. This is the first substantive beer review written here at this Next Glass corporate owned website. You're welcome.
Pours like a hazy triple ipa does, orange in color, some light haze, 1/2" off white head. Aroma is a little disappointing given the Nelson and Hallertau Blanc hops, I really dug those, but they didn't have that dank diesel white grape weed thing going, came off more like Citra. Still decent, but not the danker zone, not even the highway to the danker zone, more like a frontage road.
The taste is markedly sweet. Sweet orange like impact, moderate bitterness. Its definitely not balanced, this definitely hoppy. Good job with the hazy malt aspect, not sure what the wheat/oats ratio is, and the sweetness helped keep the 10% not tasting anywhere near like that. Well done.
One weird thing I noticed: I liked their strong beers more. Generally, I don't like strong beers as much these days, but this was the exception to the rule these days.
