Hey had this way back in ski season, but we'll be the first to crank out a review for it here at this Next Glass owned database. You're welcome.
Imperial stout pours black. Brown/tan like color head, 1/2" deep. It has a good appearance.
The aroma just is good smelling coffee. Got me jonesing in excitement, something Able Baker beers rarely do. They don't make "bad" beer, they just rarely get out of that 3.5/5 zone. This smelled like it had greater potential. Rich coffee. I like it, much like the True Blue song from Madonna. I searched the whole world for some coffee like you. . .
Taste brings on the coffee, a more bitter taste and mouthfeel comes around that wasn't there in the nose. How could it be but for the most acrid types. Its not in the same heavy proportion as the nose, there is plenty of roasted malt to contend with. But wait, there's more: a light alcohol sting, but given its immense strength, still does plenty good at making something that strong relatively drinkable with ease.
I wish their ducks were less expensive.
