During recipe formulation, our brewers “duck around” with different ingredient combinations, exploring how different flavors and aromas will work together. While they can hypothesize on how the beer will finish, ultimately they have to wait and “find out” the success of their visions.

Imagine that, another hazy ipa review. Rock on with your bad self.
Hazy ipa pours hazy appearance. Its funny bc its true. But its not funny. 1/2" white head. Oh yeah, and its like golden orange in color. I was born a rebel (with horns). The aroma is a story straight out of the Orange Julius location at the mall 30 years ago. Maybe 40. So much Citra, but there smells like something down under hop wise too. Riwaka?
Taste is another sweet citrus implosion, but very orderly. I dunno, maybe Strata. The malt aspect stays out of the way, but also does a really good job and making 8% super drinkable. Its like living in a two story house. Its all under the same roof. Still maintains a smidge of bitterness despite the sweetness. Its like a ton of oranges + some mystery hop that is probably familiar, but struggles to come out in more than a supporting role. Its not an equal partnership like sand and sea. Paradise can't be far if you guide me.

I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a snifter glass.
Appearance: medium orange hue with plenty of haze and a thin layer of ivory foam. Nice.
Smell: a little sweet with a nice citrus aroma and dash of herbal character. I like it.
Taste: tropical fruity aroma with some passionfruit and citrus. Bitterness is high-ish but still it’s a solid hazy.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a perfectly cromulent hazy IPA. I’d order this again!
