I had this beer on-tap in a snifter at the brewery.
Appearance: medium-dark brown hue with a finger of creamy tan foam atop. The nitro pour looks great with this beer.
Smell: slightly sweet, creamy, malt-mocha kind of aroma. Very enticing.
Taste: caramel sweetness with a bit of coffee and a creamy element that reminds me of crème brûlée. The burnt sugar vibe is strong. I quite like this — a dessert porter at just 5.5%.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and creaminess. Decent on nitro.
Overall: this is a super drinkable beer. It has the flavor punch of an imperial strength beer at a sessionable ABV. I’m very much into it.
