Small pour at the taproom. Served chilled in a snifter.
Dark brown colored body. Long lasting light beige head. The head helps to leave lacing strings on the glass.
Aroma is roasted malts with some dark chocolate and a bit of dark roast coffee.
Taste is full with roasted malts, a bit of char, with chocolate, coffee, and a touch of anise. The roasted malts and char linger in the aftertaste.
Medium mouthfeel with a creamy texture. Coats the mouth for a long lived taste. Very good carbonation.
Good use of char for a mellow stout experience.
