festive and fun, thanksgiving-esque to me, a cool seasonal sour very well executed, seems like real fruit, and its spiced which is cool for the winter, its light and not overdone, but its distinctive too, not sure ive really had one like this before, and once again these guys deliver with creativity and execution. kind of light amber or copper colored beer with fine clarity and a fizzy little off white head, maybe a little fruity red tone to it, but it looks natural and fairly refined. the nose is cool, fall spices, cinnamon and maybe nutmeg, light but clean sourness, lemony there, no funk or barrel or anything to me, tidy, and no more sour than actual cranberries are, not even that tart, i think that lends to drinkability right away, even before i taste it i feel like i could do this by the pint. cranberry in front of apple to me in both aroma and flavor, tangy and natural but with a little grain sweetness and even a hint of vanilla highlighting them, neat. the flavor is similar to the nose, some sugar, some cooked apple almost pie-like character with the spices, i like the grain and the body it brings, so often missing in this modern sour space and it adds to the autumn vibes this already drips with, more beery than others which is where it really wins, but its also not overly sour, too spiced, or fruited to the point of being unnatural, and of course apple and cranberry are a timeless duo, good contribution from both in this. fine carbonation, pleasant slightly candied aftertaste, clever and good, unique.
