Imagine the Dominion Ale, except a red. This was just a typical red ale with no distinguishing features. So it wasn't bad, but I found it slightly boring. It had a fairly typical appearance and smell. The taste was alright, but didn't do anything different or better than any other red. Mouthfeel and drinkability were fine.

Tasted on-tap 10/06/05 at the OD brewpub in Ashburn, VA.
Light amber color with a low off-white head and decent carbonation. Light spicy malt aroma and flavor with hints of nutiness and roastiness and not too sweet. Light-medium bodied with a spicy finish.
A decent but ultimately skipable Irish Red.
