Poured from the bottle into a stange glass. Dating/Best before unknown...
Foamy white head upon a nice buttery dark gold clear body, almost orange. Slow rising tiny carbonation from the bottom. Very impressed with staying power of this head. Some very good sticky clumpyness for lacing on the glass. Alright I say, lets see what we got.
Smell at first is slightly odd but gives way to pleasant muted bread and grain. Perhaps a little sweet and hints of light soda pop without the large citrus spritzy feeling. Small very small lime zest, overall though fairly good.
Taste is for a better word, lacking. Wet bodied and gives palate hint of gaseous carbonation. Minimal baked white bread finsih, disappears quickly upon taste. Thin and very empty, borderline malt/grain/bread on the swallow but barely, you have to just look/feel for it if I could use that expression, it is not obvious.
Overall this is an easy drinking very light example of the style but really missing a lot. This is very much an easy drinking light Kolsch but lacking the huge malt and bread punch I enjoy so much for this style. Training wheels Kolsch I would say.

Appearance: Golden and crystal clear. No head to speak of, besides a slight foam when pouring. No lacing either.
Smell: Hoppy. Maybe not necessarily noble, though. Kinda fruity, but it's definitely a hop fruitiness. Is this dry-hopped?
Taste: The malt is there, but this is definitely a more hop-forward take on the Kolsch style. A first bitterness, then fruitiness. It's not clear if that fruit is a result of a hop or yeast character, though. Crisp, nonetheless.
Mouthfeel: Nice and creamy. Could be more so.
Drinkability: Very drinkable brew. Crisp, clean, but slightly hoppier than I am looking for in a Kolsch.
I'd drink another if you offered me one, but as far as Maryland micro-brews go, I prefer Brewer's Alley's take on this style.

This beer pours a clear, yellow-gold color with no lacing. The aroma is citrusy with grassy hops and a hint of banana. It's flavor is mainly lemon with a good balance of hop bitterness and malt sweetness. It has a light mouthfeel and is very refreshing providing for a high degree of drinkability. Fordham Queen Anne Kolsch is a good beer and may pair well with chicken. Recommended.

A - Served with a very light, golden yellow body with lots of clarity...carbonation bubbles are visible and produce a pure white, bubbly head...retention is okay...a small bead...light lacing
S - The aroma is mainly grainy and malt with a touch of fruity sweetness
T - Flavors follow suite...a grainy presence up front that lasts throughout the middle of the beer...the fruity sweetness starts to pick up in the middle...it's almost a bright, white grape flavor...the finish actually provides a brief citrus finish which I was not expecting
M - Light bodied...crisp...carbonation level is okay...the citrus finish was pleasant and unexpected
O - This was a nice offering from Fordham...I'd say it was probably my third favorite of theirs on my trip to Annapolis...definitely a summer drinking beer

Poured into a crystal mug the beer is really a straw colored gold, like stated on the bottle. The head builds nicely and dissipates fast with almost no lacing ;eft.
The smell is grain, fruit like apple and white raisin, maybe a little citrus.
Tasting the beer those flavors reappear in a little stronger version, but still very subtle.. Up front a refreshing mix of the above mentioned fruit, turning citrus and to grain in the middle, being finished by some hops. The finish is a little weak and plain.
Carbonation is good and the beer is very refreshing, good mouthfeel.
I think this is a good American representative of the "Koelsch".

Pours with a think head that quickly dissolves, no lacing. Very cloudy, can't see through the glass.
Faint kolsch smell; hints of grains, slight hint of raisons.
Clean on the palate, taste of grains, slight taste of malt.
Good balance of carbination, but the back end quickly dissolves, feels like water. Not much of an aftertaste at all.
As with most kolsch's, very easy to drink. No profound tastes of flavors from this one so it would be pretty east to drink a couple.

Let me begin by saying I really love this style of beer.
A- Golden in color with no head whatsoever.
S- A great Koelsch smell. It smells like goinger ale with a bit of sour thrown in.
T- Starts like a good koelsch but doesn't finish well. It has a watery finish.
MD- Very light on the feel, although not much carbonation. It drinks very easy, but I wouldn't try again unless I get a fresher bottle. This one only had two day left before the drink by date. Thanks to B Miller for the sample.

A: Pours a golden straw color with a small amount of off-white head. Head dwindles to nothing at all. No lacing. bLAH.
S: Sweet and bready malts. A hint of raisins, as well.
T: Sweet and malty upfront with a slight hoppy bitterness. More complex than I expected.
M: Medium-bodied and minimum carbonation.
D: Fairly drinkable and enjoyable. I could definitely go through a sixer on a summer night.

pours a healthy foamy head that settles fairly fast and leaves splotch 'lacing'
deep sniff reveals fresh malt and some sweet cereals. something there i can't quite catch. still, a bit faint. raisans?
now there's some flavor, but rather dry in the finish. quick grainy sweetness and a blast of freshness. nothing complex, but refreshing and probably best with some food. pan-asian or some penn dutch fare! drinkable but not really remarkable. as remarked before, the carbonation/crispness could be toned down. but at least it isn't flat.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pilsner glass.
Appearance: Pours a translucent yellow color, reminiscent of most macro lagers. The thin and fizzy head dissipates quickly leaving no lacing.
Smell: Smells malty with a hint of grapes. Has a bit of a wine-y smell to it.
Taste: Surprisingly complex taste. Is a nice mix of hoppy bitterness and grapey maltiness. Nice...
Mouthfeel: A little bit over-carbonated, but not overwhelmingly so.
Drinkability: I haven't had many Kölschs, but this is a pretty good beer. The balance between hop bitterness and malty sweetness is interesting. I would give this one a try if you can find it.
