My favorite stout--a step or two above Guiness.

I order this whenever they have it at the Annapolis Ramshead.

Appearance--looks like you would expect stout to--very dark, thick and creamy head and plenty of it

Smell--clean light smell, maybe a bit (in a good way) soapy

Taste--rich and creamy, a bit more depth than Guiness. Smooth and consistent, nice dry aftertaste.

Mouthfeel--full bodied, almost chewy. Feels good for you!!!

Drinkability--the first is awfully good, the second is fantastic, the third is dreamlike. My wife won't let me have a fourth--leads to disaastrous financial decisions!

This is a nitro-served stout from the Ram's Head/Fordham in Annapolis, MD.

Appearance: The ale is pitch black, with a nice cappucino-coloured head. The head is abundant and clearly the result of the nitro.

Smell: Roasted malts and creamy sweetness from the head dominate the aroma.

Taste: The ale has a big creamy taste as I start into it. The nitrogen has provided a nice touch. The stout itself has a roasted, chocolatey taste.

Mouthfeel: The ale is smooth and not carbonated with CO2, so it sits very well.

Drinkability: Gimme a few more and I would not say no.
