Let it be said that this used to be one of my favorite beers and I used to drink it like water at the old Baltimore Brewing Company. The bottle claims that Theo DeGroen is still behind this beer but after drinking this version, I don't buy it.
The pour was decent. A darker hue and cloudier than I expect from a pils. The head was about a finger thick and white.
For some reason, I could not really smell much of anything. A little malty and sweet in the nose but no hop bouquet to speak of.
Taste was ultimately disappointing. Too sweet up front and not enough of a hop presence for the style. I could taste a bit of corn sweetness in this beer too. Not at all like I remember.
The mouthfeel was a little thick for the style as well. Somewhat cloying sweetness really took away from the desired dry finish.
Overall, I didn't find this too drinkable. I think this beer has even gotten worse than it was when I had it this summer. Needless to say, I won't go back for more and it is truely a shame. I have met Theo and he is a great guy that created some great beers in a great place in Baltimore. Unfortunately, this is just another example of the business getting the best of the artist.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle to a tall pilsner glass. The liquid is a light clear yellow color with a small bit of under-carbonation. The head is 2 fingers thick, off white and quite nice. Very refreshing looking.
The smell is hopy and malty but kind of faint even for a pills.
The taste is typical of the style, I noticed nothing that offends, Bitter hops over a fresh malt base.
The mouthfeel is medium to light body with low carbonation, and kind of flat, the finish could use a little more bite. MK

12oz. bottle
Pours a clear golden straw with a white head that fades. Mild lacing on the glass.
Aroma is malty with a spicy hoppiness.
Taste is malty upfront with a nice spicy hop flavor in the middle. Falls flat at the finish with a lingering bitterness.
Medium body, low carbonation.
No problems drinking a few bottles, but just extremely average overall. Not as good as I remember.
