Brilliantly clear and masterfully balanced, this American IPA is well-organized and easy on the tongue. Its dense, tan head with underlying caramel sweetness, creates a perfect balance with pine and citrus hop flavors.

From the tap, it pours an amber color with a just off-white head. The nose gets some citrus and lots of malt. The mouth follows - overall a pleasant brew, not quite an IPA

My good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego gave me a bottle of this beer. It poured a clear amber with thin white head that is leaving a spotty lace. The scent had subtle malt notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with maly base and pine highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

Quite disappointing. I don’t know if the beer was too old or what, but the hops had faded and what was left was too much bready malt. Pours an amber color with some fluffy white head and quite nice smaller rings of lingering lacing. Almost looked like an amber ale. Smells of malt, a little grain, caramel, vanilla, bread and faint muddled hops. Taste follows the nose, very powerful malt backbone that overwhelms the hops. Disappointing. Smooth mild slightly thin mouthfeel and decent carbonation. Not my favorite but decent nonetheless.

Great golden/amber color, nose is soft but clean and features nice citrus hop notes, taste is a nice balance of the pine/citrus hops rounded out with the malty sweetness on the back end. Smooth finish.

On tap at Rams Head Roadhouse. Pours a clear copper with off-white head. Aroma and flavor feature pine and citrus hops with a well-balanced caramel sweetness. Much better than I expected!

A: Packaged in a can and poured into glass. Clear copper colored beer that poured with creamy white head. Nice lacing on glass.
S: No major smell, not much hop smell.
T: Bitter is balanced with sweet malt. Slight caramel. Not citrus more earthy, slight spice.
M: Light to thin mouthfeel.
O: A nice drinkable IPA. Like the bitter balanced by sweet in the throat.

L: Pours like a rye.. dark honey colored.
S: Caramel up front, middle and back.
T: Caramel. This is a cross between a dark and pale.
F: Thin, a bit on the bitter side at first, but milder as it warmed. No carbonation.
O: This tastes like a caramel-rye pale ale. The IPA name is a bit surprising.. maybe due to the hops? It's not something I'll revisit.
