very light fruit , barley.Dark, but clear, reddish brown color. A touch of woodyness. light carbonation. Very Tame for a Scotch Ale

Beer of the month club twist off 12 oz. bottle. Pours deep amber with small white head. Smells like a cheap sweet amber ale. Flavor is sweet brown sugar with a bit of fruit and a dirty finish that makes what would otherwise be a nice drinking beer slightly unpleasant. Finished a bit better as I go through it. Medium light mouthfeel, medium carbonation. Easy going for 8%. Not a terrible beer, but not getting much scotch ale from this. Taste is similar to a Killians with more body and more sweetness.
