A classic around the area I used to live, but sometimes the classics need to be retired. Clear golden body but such a tiny cap, come on man give me a big white head for a light lager at least! Anyways, smell and taste are the same: lager malts, yeast, cereal grains, and sweet white bread. No terrible cheap adjuncts, just bland and watery.

Poured into a pilsner glass

Aroma: slightly sweet but nothing overly strong, metallic hint

Appearrance: golden yellow, yeast or other particulates floating in it

Flavor: no real hops or malt. They may have faded with age.

Mouthfeel: crisp, easy drinking

Overall impression: light session beer, not a go to for me but I got it in a trade and gave it a try

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. No freshness dating on this one. Fairly dark for a light beer, dark straw colored. Decent white head that leaves a nice ring around the glass. Crystal clear clarity.

Not much in the aroma. Some maltiness but overall pretty muted. However, no smell is spot on for the style.

Good flavor. Key word there is flavor. This one actually has a taste to it. Slightly malty with no perceived adjunct flavors.

This could go up against non light lager out there. I really liked this beer for a light beer. Contains 126.78 calories per bottle (a indicated on the bottle label) so it isnt super light. A very good light lager.

One of the best light beers I've ever had.

Many light beers go way overboard with having a taste of too much water, or staleness.
This beer was so clean and refreshing, it literally almost tasted like nothing. Just cold goodness.

I would definitely refer this beer to anyone looking for a real light beer.

poured a medium amber color with white puffy head that lasted throughout the glass. Smell is slightly sweet but malty than I expected. Taste is nice and creamy, really very enjoyable. Aftertaste is a slight dryness that is also enjoyable. This would be a great session beer.

Tasted On-Tap 07/10/05 at the Ram's Head Tavern in Rehobeth Beach, DE.

Standard light straw color with decent carbonation. Light grainy almost adjunct type aroma and flavor with no hop character to speak of. Light bodied and a bit watery.

Not much there but decent enough for hot weather I guess

I sampled what was called the C 126 Light at the Ram's Head Tavern in Savage Mill, MD. Poured a light straw color with a small head and medium fizz, looked like a light beer. The nose was absent to neutral, had a malt flavor although slightly under attenuated, slightly syrupy. Finish was malty, Body seemed bigger due to syrupiness, looked better than it tasted.

Poured out a very clear and light yellow-gold that looks every bit like a Bud light. The aroma is of sweet grains and has a bread-like quality to it. There aren’t any bad off flavors in this one. It’s pretty clean tasting although nothing special about it. Light and watery body with a touch of hoppy bitterness. Not bad, drinkable.
