Appearance: Cloudy golden with minimal head
Smell: Not much there. Very faint malt smell
Taste: Sweet and malty
Mouthfeel: Heavy on the carbonation, but smooth enough
Drinkability: It's a step above Budweiser and the like, but still kind of bland. The upside? The bar I got the beer at donated 60 cents of every can sold to Fisher House.

From a brown 12 oz. bottle. Pours a golden color with a 1/2 inch head. Has a mild, slightly sweet aroma. Taste is crisp and refreshing although not a lot of flavor. Feels light in the mouth. Goes down very easily. Overall this is a fairly decent beer.

A: Pours a clear, bright gold color with a tall, densely frothy off-white head. Retention is pretty decent, with surprising lacing. Nice.
S: Some grainy malt and grassy hops. Smell is fresh, sweet, and clean.
T: Considerable grainy maltiness. Slightly toasted as well. A touch of grassy/herbal hops for balance, but not especially substantial. Again, clean and rather malty for the style.
M: Rather full in body for the style. Carbonation is moderate.
D: Take your standard inoffensive macro, throw in an unexpectedly attractive appearance and some extra maltiness, and you have Defender's Choice. I don't think I've ever seen a beer with so many patriotic American appeals. The label has a battleship, a tank, a fighter jet, and a helicopter on it. U-S-A! U-S-A! In all seriousness though, pretty respectable and tasty for the style. I was extremely skeptical, but I'll salute this one.

Crystal clear golden hue with a one and a half finger white head that slowly settles to a thin cap. Lots of tiny bubbles rise up from the bottom of the glass.
Light and sweet grains with a slightly syrupy candy-like aroma in the background. The malts have a bit of a toasty quality to them, though very light. A touch of sweetness is in there as well. Light bodied.
A light, very malty, flavor which is good for the summer.
